This quarter’s shareholder spotlight is on Shaelene Holstrom.
Shaelene is from Naknek and a graduate from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her degree is in Rural Development with the focus on Community Health and Wellness.
Currently, Shaelene works with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at the UAF. Her focus is working with Alaska Native students. With her job, Shaelene mentors students to honor cultures and traditions while maintaining faith based practices. Through this effort- Shaelene hopes to support and encourage positive life choices back to rural Alaska communities by sharing stories of progression and healing. She says she hopes to make a small difference in the world by impacting and encouraging people.
Shaelene is a family person. She enjoys fishing, enjoying time outdoors and biking. Her family is originally from South Naknek. Her proud mother is Justina Holstrom, of Naknek, AK.
