Shareholders of Alaska Peninsula Corporation
RE:   Nomination by Petition… Change to APC Nomination Procedure
Dear Shareholder:
The Alaska Peninsula Corporation Board of Directors has made some changes to the way in which persons can be nominated for Board seats.  Beginning in 2014, eligible shareholders of APC may seek nomination by petition and completion of a questionnaire that requests information that must be disclosed under State law.
To obtain nomination under the petition process, a shareholder must obtain the signatures of at least 30 holders of APC Settlement Common Stock or the signatures of persons holding at least 1800 shares of the Settlement Common Stock.
The Petition, together with the qualifying questionnaire, must be completed and returned to APC not later than 45 days before our Annual Meeting.  This year, our Annual Meeting has been scheduled for April 5, 2014.  Accordingly, the questionnaire and petition must be returned by February 19, 2014.  If you would like to seek nomination by petition, and appear on the APC proxy material, please contact me to request the form petition and questionnaire by the following methods:
You can call us at 907-274-2433;
You can email us by using the contact page on our web page, or
You can request the questionnaire and petition by sending a written request by fax at 907-274-8694.
We are excited about the new means of nominating persons to run for a director’s position.  If you would like further information, please do not hesitate to call our offices or write.
Very truly yours,
Mary Jane Nielsen, President and CEO
